So i was reading a article about the shieldmaidens of rohan and the article hinted at the possibility of there being more shieldmaidens than just Eowyn. So ive decided that it could be a fun project to convert a couple to my rohan army. I have plenty of rohan warrior bodies so im thinking i migth just do headswaps. But i have no idea where to find suitable models or heads for this. ive recently looked at the Banner Saga Warbands miniatures and i think that they would fit perfectly aesthetically but i have no idea if they are even close in scale. https://i.pinimg.com/564x/51/14/88/5114 ... 766bac.jpg I could also try to buy replicas of eowyn but that will be exspensive and they will probably look like clones of each other. so are there any good female models that could do the work? I also liked the peasant milita in the battle for middle earth so maybe some rohan peasant milita also? |

Not many companies do just seperate heads, but Statuesque has a few (bald to sculpt on hair yourself, or with a few hairstyles, some of which would look ok in Middle-earth): http://badsquiddogames.com/shop#!/Conve ... ort=normal Best bet is the Fine Scale; others are for larger historical or Warhammer type ranges. BadSquiddo also sells actual shieldmaidens, besides which I know V&V and Brother Vinni have a few as well - latter tend to be a bit larger than the SBG range however, from the few I've seen in person (not sure how the other ranges compare). http://badsquiddogames.com/shop#!/Shiel ... ort=normal http://vminiatures.com/28-mm/vikings/vikings-7 http://www.brother-vinni.com/shop.htm#! ... ort=normal Finally, V&V's Anglo-Saxon geburs could be a decent basis for Rohan peasants: http://vminiatures.com/28-mm/anglosaksons/geburs |

The Dice Bag Lady has scoured the internet for female minis and offers them in her store. |

I second Khan's recommendation. I bought some of her shield maidens. They aren't Perry Bros quality, but they will work great for table top gaming! http://badsquiddogames.com/shop#!/Shiel ... edTimeDesc |

My recommendation? Check out Red Box Games! The scale of tgebmodels are almost dead on with LoTR minis and the Norse line matches Rohan pretty well! They have several ladies to choose from! Example: http://red-box-games.com/index.php?main ... 701b5d812f |

Thanks for the recommendations i liked the shieldmaidens they would not require a lot of conversion either. Some look a bit weird anatomicaly but so does a some official lotr miniatures (like last alliance elrond). One last question what scale is the lotr and hobbit miniatures? |

As much as i like the red box line, i would argue they fit dunlundings better than rohan, but that is just personal preference. |
