Recently bought my first minis, Legolas foot and mounted and was going to buy some wood elves. What colours should I get for painting ?

Stock up on a variety of browns and greens, I think the wood elves tend to look better with mellower colours rather than the bright greens from warhammer fantasy.

Before you buy, have a look at the colour schemes used on the GW website and on here to see what you like and dont like.

I'm with you there. I tend to favour what would be considered dark / drab greens, browns & greys as bases & highlight up.

You can always try & correspond your colour palette to the season? I suppose the scheme I use would be spring, but with more emphasis on the shades of brown or grey you could make it a more autumn / winter type if you wanted something different?
