I soak the miniatures in dettol for a few hours then work at it carefully with a toothbrush, then back in the dettol and repeat until the mini is clean. |

I did the same thing except with 50/50 water and Pine Sol. I soaked a bunch of them for up to a day and used a very gritty tooth brush and it came right off. I would recommend checking back on them every few hours to make sure they don't get soft. I had a few archers who had bows that softened but after a while they hardened back up. |

Dot3 break fluid works, the paint is removed but it takes almost 3 days! |

I soak them in Coca-Cola for a week adding a fresh batch of Coca-Cola half way through. Then soak them in Simple Green cleaner for a day. Finally scrub with a toothbrush or something similar. |

However, Some times it is nice to know what the experiences of the group are.My experience is that any wetting agent will work. A lot of people like simple Green. I have not tried it, Not a local brand. I like pine oil and brake fluid. |
