Post subject:  Where to find shields and spears?

I'm planning on converting Grim Hammers into the Iron Hills Dwarves. I was wondering if anyone knew where to find spears and kite shields that would be on the correct scale?

I got some spears axes etc from Gripping beast, they have a nice selection and you should be able to find what you need.

For the weapons, there are two types of spear. The wire ones which have are about the diameter of a paperclip, but are long and can be cut to the length needed, and the lead spears which I haven't bought but I'd assume they're shorter and slightly thicker if they've been cast like the other weapons.

Shields, again I haven't had any kite shields from them but I have had the Buckler with boss, which was about 1mM diameter less than the round shields of the metal dwarf warriors, so kite shields should be about right scalewise, and there are a nice variety of different ones.

I used Warrior of Erebor shields for mine, the octagonal shape is really distinctive and, after a long search, I couldn't find any similar shields made by any other manufacturer.

For my spears I used Northstar javelins from ebay, they're cheap and the perfect scale, link here:

Hope that helps!

Just realised you were after kite shields - sorry. Hopefully the spears will help!
