Hello there fine folks

It's been a while. Exams finished and free time abounding, I now have a window of opportunity to get back to my roots as a painter.
However, I am lacking any kind of seemingly essential grey paint. I would mix it but it needs to be consistent (I use it for bases). I'd resort to a colour chart but the last time I used one I ended up with a green colour as oppose to the grey I was intending for. So what's a good match for GW's old Adeptus battlegrey with the new GeeDub paints?

Thankee

*tips hat*

Didn't realise it wasn't for sale anymore. :o

This http://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Cit ... 9189950024 is the closest from what I can tell.

EDIT: You love your Giraffes don't you? :) Nice to see you around anyways.

Sorry, SidTheSloth, but just to throw a spanner in the works, it depends what you want your grey paint to do...

If you're looking for a good base colour that works well as a cover-paint like the old 'foundation' range, then Mechanicus Standard is ideal. But, if you want a more general grey tone that can be used for layering as well, I would suggest Eshin Grey. It's a tad darker than Mechanicus, but I much prefer it, and it works just as well as a basecoat/foundation colour too.

Sorry if this has added confusion to your question.

Hmm.. I think I'll still go for mechanus standard grey as I usually thin down my paints anyway. Thanks for the advice 8)
