Hi, I'm wondering how warhammer bits fit on lord of the rings models? I Know that Empire Huntsman/Archers fit really well and I have used their arms and weapons for a lot of conversions. But I want to know how well other packs fit on. I am particularly interested in the "Beastmen Ungor herd" they have nice weapons and bows to convert although the beastmen might be a bit big. I am also thinking about the using the Empire free company/Milita as civilians but I'm not sure about the scale? Has anyone found any other warhammer packs that have bits that work really well with the lotr range? Note: I live in New Zealand so if you suggest other miniature companies make sure they ship here. |

I find that the majority of the time the scale is way off, especially for human proportions. You might get away with some weapons and that kind of thing but otherwise, I usually steer clear! VG |

Various shields from different boxes can work well. Some of my Osgiliath veterans have the non-gothic looking shields as opposed to the standard issue ones. A couple of my archers have stakes from the Bretonnian archer sprue added to the base, and one has some arrows stuck in the ground next to him from the same set. There's also a few objective markers I've made with loose equipment from various human infantry sets. I think with a bit of work the horn from the old Dark Elf infantry box could suit practically any army, and I've got a friend planning on using some of their crossbows as the basis for some he wants to give his uruks. The ungor weapons might be a bit on the big side, what did you have planned for them? |

I had orc bows in mind and mordor uruk-hai weapons + It has horns and banner that could be useful. |

Varies to be honest...id guess a few weeks but it could be more. I've only bought a few things from him and that was before Christmas. You can choose products to get notifications on...usually via email when new stock is in. |
