Hi, I'm thinking of converting some of my goblins from The Hobbit. I've been looking about at what other people have done in converting them, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has any ideas on converting them or has done so before. I want to make my goblin horde look striking and unique and stand out from one another. A nice idea would be to make a captain too! Another thing is; is there any way to quickly reattach and dismantle the goblin town scenery and set it up differently each time? I don't want to glue it all together as I take with me to play games, and it would be hard to transport it once it's stuck together. I was thinking magnets, but are there other ways? Thanks! Bofur |

An easy way to make each goblin individual would be to swap weapon hands. Just cleanly cut off the hand with a weapon in it, do the same with another goblin then glue on each others hands. Putty may be needed. Also sculpting more ragged clothes onto a few of them would make a difference. Also, really simple things like variations in the paint job is always a reliable technique. Their hair could be slightly different colour or perhaps even their skin tone. |

I put bows in the hands of 8 of them. I know it is not in the GW profiles, but are in the Hobbit movie and books and pretty obvious. I just treat them like Moria archers. Lost Pict |

Some of them have armour that look like turtle shells which should be pretty easy to model with green stuff. The furthest I have gone is to do the odd arm and weapon swap.... so far! |
