Well I managed to get Ukfreddybear to part with his Azog sculpt that he did for the sculpting challenge. Thanks Dave ( :D )

One of the conditions Dave let the sculpt go was that I paint it right away so I plan on starting tonight.

I have encounetered a probem already I can't find a reference pic of Azog that allows me to clearly identify what colour the undertone is on his skin. In some shots it looks blue tho this could be just moonlight and in other it looks green. Help me out guys.

I would say probably a space wolves grey mixed with another more monochrome grey for the skin and perhaps add red in the scars.

I'd go for something like rotten flesh or catachan green with bleached bone.

I wouldn't go as colorful as that. That mannequin is way darker than the CGI version. Looks too zombie IMO.

Looks pale lilac moving to rotting flesh in that link.

I think that's because most of his scenes were at night.
