Post subject: | Muhad 'Lion man' Conversion |
Hi guys, I am trying to make a little band of Muhad warriors got the 3 with blowpipes, 3 warriors and the king, need one more to fill up the movement tray. I don't want a banner bearer because it seems odd to me for tribesmen to have their own flag, so I want to add a shaman. I want to use a tiger head as a hat for him. Does anyone know where I could find a good tiger model for this, or have any other ideas of how to make him look 'shamany' Thanks. |

Hmm.. we already had the discussion about how true to the lore tigers would be for Mahud.. (see viewtopic.php?f=50&t=25088 ) I'd rather recommend something like leopard or lion to be honest. The easiest way would be to sculpt something onto a Mahud and maybe do a little conversion work. You could also try and use the upper half of a warg head since it's true to the LotR scale.. but then again, what do wargs want in the hot and dry areas of Far Harad? ^^ |

I had that idea a while ago of adding a tiger into my harad army, and a lion, and possibly a hippo personally I would sculpt it(and I will) I allready have a crocodile, a giant scorpion and a komodo dragon all on 60mm bases. but thta does depend on your skills as a sculptor |

Thanks for all the replys. I think I will go for the lions. Can't get the clickable url to work so you will have a do it the old fashioned way: http://wargamesfoundry.com/historical_r ... sector_id= Ragnorr, you make a good point about the habitat of a Tiger, and unfortunately my sculpting skills are no where near good enough for a whole animal head. Thanks Edit: And obviously it now works.... |

Hi guys, To prove I didn't ignore your advice here is an update of how I'm getting on More pics http://imageshack.us/a/img255/8746/dscf0144l.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img715/8563/dscf0146gp.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img138/5434/dscf0148v.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img689/8021/dscf0149ac.jpg The middle bit of the lions head needs filling in, the bloke is missing an arm and the plan is that eventually he will be holding one of the other lions on a chain. I call him Mufasa 'the lion king' Don't be to critical this is the first time I have tried this sort of thing |
