Are there any suitable plastic models that resemble the Mahud? All I've seen so far are wargames factory zulus and I'm not the biggest fan of their sculpts.

Some of the Gripping Beast models could be converted.

I'd second the Perry Sudanese tribesmen, or if not them the Warlord Married Zulus. I'd generally lean towards the Perry figures for LotR Mahud substitutes, but the Zulus do have the distinctive wicker/hide shield.

I would think it would also be relatively easy to convert either set to be wearing the large wicker collar that the GW mahud wear.
