Anyone have any idea how to do this for infantry? Like extremely bushy camouflage that snipers would use for an example.

In real life, people using such camo literally take it from the environment they want to blend with. So, I would just do it the same way you do bushes for your tabletop terrain.
Pick out some lichen pieces you like & glue little bits onto the model, probably. Being very careful to use as little glue as possible, of course.

I have a huge sack of model train undergrowth, and just put some bits of those on, without gluing. If you use glue, it sort of "straightens" and looks very unrealistic. This allows you to change between "camo" and "no camo", too.

I have painted camouflage on 28mm WWII miniatures before. Are you asking how to paint camouflage?

Thanks for the replies, I'm not looking on painting camo, I just want to add like an actual bush. Kinda like this:

I just don't know how to do it effectively on miniatures.

I thought a sort of bandages could be used for ghillie camouflage.

Oh, and some mini's have it sculpted on, for instance some of the 1/72 Italeri Red Devils.
