Post subject:  Painting early metal elves

I thought this was going to be easy, but I seem to be really stuck for a colour scheme for the early metal elves (with glaives). I just can't seem to be find any decent reference shots. They've been sitting on the paint desk for 2 months...
:(
Can anyone help me out with pics/links for some inspiration ??

I wonder if I have just been painting too many minis........

thanks all!

The elves I'm talking about have that armour like the alliance elves, quite different to haldirs elves (and I have a stack of them to do as well).

The armour like the last alliance elves, with the criss cross golden breast plate? they have models of that?

I went to a indpendant hobby store and they had 30 metal wood elves painted beatifuly with dark blues greys and greens very nice.

The elves I was talking about are on page 43 of the unofficial lotr collectors guide - Elf havens, elf spearmen. In the pics they seem to be a mix of dark blue/grey.
