You can find examples on the coolminiornot. Its also importat, that if you want to stress the lighting sword, you must paint frodo a little bit darker. Then paint strong highlights on him.

I was trying to get Frodo's sword, Sting, to look like it was glowing blue but I'm having problems, it either ends up looking like a lightsaber or like a normal sword. Has anyone tried this before? If so, how did it turn out? |

You might want to try an Asurmen Blue wash (mix it with water though for a lighter blue), then highlight with mithril silver - OR, you might try adding a dab of Asurment Blue wash to Mithril Silver to make a bluish-silver. |
