Post subject: | Pure white |
I wondered how i could get a radiant light white without making the models look unrealistic. So iam going to use pure skull white for the highlights but dont know what to use for foundation/shades. Something like this http://www.one-ring.co.uk/phpBB2/album_ ... ic_id=9520 ... unfortunately i don't know what colours he used. Maybe some of you can help. |

Best thing to do would be to contact Samoht, since he's the one who painted that. |

It looks like layers of Fortress Grey, Codex Gray, and Chaos Black. Though it could be just mixes of Chaos Black and Skull White. |

I think the reason that it seems to 'pop' so much is because there is more contrast than normal. Normally you start with a grey and shade up to white, but because he shaded up from black there is more contrast and it makes the white look brighter. I would suggest starting from black and then layering up to pure white, though you could probably get away with starting with a dark grey instead of black. |
