Post subject:  Durin and mardin paint scheme

Hi all.
I am painting a Erebor dwarf army, with blue as the cloth colour. I got Durin and Mardin though as I want to be able to use a Khazad-Dum army if I wanted to change it up a bit. As the dwarves are mainly for the Erebor army they will all be painted blue so none of them will be painted with Khazad-Dum's green. This comes to my problem, do I paint Durin and Mardin with their 'normal' green cloth and have them not match the rest of the warriors, or do I paint them in Blue to match the rest of my force?

Is there anything by Tolkien about dwarves cloth colours or are the green/blue GW's made up idea? Do Durin/Mardin ever go to Erebor? IF so I could say that they are wearing the clothes they got as a gift from Erebor.

*Thinking about it now, in tbb's dwarf army last to9g he had blue vault wardens, which you can only get from the Khazad-Dum army list so I think that I am leaning towards painting the hero's blue to match with the rest of the warriors.
Thoughts?

Well i voted green but...it all depends on whether you want them to match your units if yes, then blue, if not, then green. Simples! :P

I voted blue to match the rest, and partly because I have always hated the green/red Christmas color theme that GW came up with.

Green, Red, Silver and Gold...I miss the holiday season. :)
