On ebay I saw this model being sold at astonishing prices (to the point where one would have paid less by paying his weight in gold) so I thought of converting a common Charioteer or just stick a 28 mm shogun on it.
Aside from the Banners and the armor, is there any difference? Is the king's chariot bigger? What are the main differences?

I think it's a little bit bigger than a normal one, but I don't think by much. I got one a month ago for $30 on eBay as well as 10 fully painted Khandish Warriors for an extra 35. Got a super good deal, but I haven't seen any more for remotely good prices. I would just put a regular Shogun on it.
