When upgrading a WoMT with the option Ithilien Guard, is it still the WoMT miniature?
I didn't know of this option untill the upgrade of Army Builder.

I concur; I have never seen or heard about Ithilien Guard, but sounds great, huge potential for great conversions :-D

Ithilien Guard would probably the same miniature, with a different colour scheme.
It could even be the same miniature, with the standard colour scheme.

The basic idea (as far as I am aware) of the various upgrades is that they are upgrades that, when taken, change the class of the model, change its stats, but still permit it to be represented in a convenient way. At least, so long as GW hasn't yet produced a model for the upgraded class, that is how I would run with it.

It does mean, however, that if you are fielding some 'basic' WoMT (or other, similar model with a similar upgrade) and some Ithilien Guard, then you do need to do something to make it clear to your opponent who is what. Yes, it does open up some wonderful opportunities for conversion.

It might take some time but I think an awesome conversion for Ithilien Gaurd would be something like taking a WoMT body and giving it a ranger's head and cape. It would give you the normal heavy armour but still that Ithilien forest look

Hmm. If I had time, it would give me something to do with all those WoMT. Interesting idea.
