Just wanted to see what my fellow One-Ringers listened too.

Up until about three months ago I listened to a bit of radio and that was it. Recently however a buddy gave me a quite expensive MP3 for free (he got two for his birthday) so I've been listening to some more lately.

Currently my favorite band is Breaking Benjamin. Sounds like a weird band, but then when you remember names like The Beatles and Skillet, well, it sounds pretty cool. They're a pretty hardcore rock band and I personally find their songs very inspiring.

But anyway, what do ya'll listen to?

Ahh... we had another thread like this a while back.

WAIT A MINUTE!? YOU DON'T HAVE AN IPOD!?!? :o

*Slaps Josh around a bit with a nice and stinky trout*

There, all better.

Personally, I listen to lots of different bands/singers. You name it, I probably have it.

AC/DC, B.o.B., Cobra Starship, Barenaked Ladies, Beatles, All-American Rejects, Benny Benassi, Black Eyed Peas, Blues Brothers, Bob Marley, Boys like Girls, Chester French, Coldplay, David Guetta, James Blunt, Modest Mouse, etc etc etc.

With nearly 2000 songs in my iTunes library, it'd be torture to write all my artists down...

And I like some Black Eyed Peas songs, a few Eminem songs, and I like a bunch of random songs from a ton of different artists.

I like too much stuff, which is why I have 800+ albums :)

Most types of jazz, reggae, alternative rock, but lately I've been enjoying Tool, Metric, The Shins, Gogol Bordello, The Slackers, The Raconteurs and St. Germain.

Looks like I'll have to check out Skillet...

I like pretty much any music. I'm into pop, light rock, classical, fiddle music and many others. I've now recently been into rap, because of Eminem. Must say I'm not into metal at all, I can't stand the screaming.

I myself like a lot of acoustic with a good beat to it: David Kitt, Kings of Convenience, Mat Kearney, Brandon Heath and such. I can also like rock and slightly heavier pop but I despise screaming in songs...

Lior, Diana Krall, The Beatles, Angus and Julia Stone, Arctic Monkeys, I don't mind a bit of John Butler Trio, umm....almost any Louis Armstrong(best trumpeter in the history of music) Josh Pyke, Howard Shore :-D
Have a soft spot for these composers: Mozart, Chopin as well as Brahms,

Eric Clapton, Tommy Emmanuel, Slava and Leonard Grigoryan, Tchaikovsky.....

To name a few.

I listen to Bob Dylan most of the time, but also a lot of Beatles, Who, Led Zeppelin, The Band, and Pink Floyd. I'm also into listening to old blues artists, like Robert Johnson, Blind Willie Johnson, Muddy Waters, or John Lee Hooker. 8)

I love this thread already :)

I have 3404 songs in my library (thanks Triple J Hottest 100), so my music's a bit of a slog. But I seriously like anything. If I start tapping my foot while listening to a song, I will get the whole album. So I know have ABBA, Techno, Hard Rock, Nu-Metal, Alt. Rock, Rap, Hip hop, Soft Rock, Pop, everything. Favourite bands for me at the moment:

-Linkin Park
-Fort Minor
-New Found Glory
-Taking Back Sunday
-Sundance Kids (go the Aussies!! Haha)
-Hilltop Hoods (as above)
-Relient K

Yeah, that's like the tip of the ice berg... I have 1267 5 star songs, and I add more every day, so there's no use putting all my favourite bands :P

Peace

This is the typical kind of music I listen to, calm, and with a good rhythm, IMO anyway.
