okay here goes, although probably not as hard as that last question:

What is the Elvish word for 'friend ( im looking for correct spelling) and which member of the fellowship gave the idea on how to open it and who opened it.

mellon isn't it, same as the fruit? in the film it was frodo who gave gandalf the idea, but i don't think it was in the book.

Please hand this over to Tirno, as again with so many posts in this thread, no-one stipulates whether the answer they are looking for is from the book or in the films.

In the film, Tirno is correct, Spelling = Mellon, suggested by Frodo, actioned by Gandalf.

In the books, Spelling is Mellon, suggested by Merry that it is a riddle. Gandalf takes time to think and realises his mistake and utters the correct word.

In the chapter "ride of the rohirrim" in the Return of the King (book), two woses are mentioned by name. One is gan-buri-ghan, what is the other?

Tirno, you seem to have made a mistake. I read the whole chapter just there; ONE Wose: Ghan Buri Ghan. If the answer you want is Pukelmen or Druadan, those aren't names. Are you sure you got your question right?

well done for spotting the deliberate mistake :oops: er...the answer i was looking for is in fact widfara, however, that happens to be the name of one of the outriders, i am very sorry.

try a proper question this time:

it should be:

It's a P, not a B in krimpatul.
