Just found the above comic strip on the internet. Made me laugh. Feel free to post any funny ones you have seen but try and keep it clean.

A similar theme was raised about LotR - why didn't they just fly someone over Mount Doom and drop the Ring into the caldera.
That would have been a short single volume and a 15-minute film...
Besides, the Fellbeasts might have intervened and Smaug could probably turn giant eagles into BBQ McFeathers in one blast so Bilbo gets to saunter across Middle-earth.
