Season of the Witch

More supernatural/medieval but still good films.

Just watched Game of Thrones and Black Death. Why is it that every time Sean Bean plays a good character he always seems to die in a gruesome way? He gets his head chopped off, gets torn limb from limb, and is made into a pin cushion by Lurtz in the Lord of the Rings.

Watch the Sharpe series!

I did enjoy 'Game of Thrones' much when I watched it a while back, really looking forward to the next season. Also 'World Without End' the squeal to Pillars of the Earth has started filming. For anyone who's read the book, do you think the film will be able to match the book?

I thought Season of the Witch was an aweful film, terrible acting, terrible script, pretty rational view of the crusades...

I would recommend The Mists of Avalon http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0244353/ a 2 part series based of the books of Marion Zimmer Bradley 8)
and Army of Darkness from the Evil dead trilogy! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106308/ This last one is more for the laughs but still a classic! 8)

The OP posted a Link to a Filesharing wesbite where films can be watched online or downloaded. Obviously uploading and downloading is illegal, but does anyone know if Streaming movies (watching through your internet browser) is legal? (in the UK). I've never downloaded, only streamed.

Funny that I don't see on the list the film that Return of the King tied for most Oscars won and I don't mean Titanic.

Tough more Renaissance than Medieval, the Borgias and the Tudors are both excellent tv series.

Ergh, men in tights was painful... A good list, though. Last samurai is really great if you're still considering watching it. Kingdom of Heaven is also really good, gotta love a bit of Ridley Scott.

Have you seen A Knight's Tale with Heath Ledger (R.I.P)? That was quite good fun.

Watched Ironclad last weekend, it was good choppy chop chop flick, dialogue was a bit painful but can't complain about the battle scenes! Uk production too
