Just received my latest ebay purchase - for 57 US dollars (plus shipping) I received:

Metal cave troll with spear (had just bought one of these, so don't know what I will do with this one)
12 moria goblins (great, more goblins to paint)

some LOTR scenery pieces (fallen statue pieces, statue)

Uruk Hai command (metal)
2 Uruk Hai w/crossbow (metal)
3 Uruk Hai berserkers (metal)
30 Uruk Hai warriors
8 warg riders (2 metal)
Isengard Battering Ram (metal)
3 Mordor Uruk Hai (metal)
23 Moror Orcs

Mounted Faramir (metal)
48 Warriors of Rohan
47 Warriors of Minas Tirith

3 Galadhrim Elf bowmen (metal) (not sure if that is what these are)

3 Easterlings (metal)

So, basically about 30 cents a figure.

The usual ebay purchase, some aren't painted the way I would want, some broken weapons, etc. I figure what I can't fix I will use for conversion parts.

Some of the metal figures are already in the nail polish remover bath, some of the plastic are in the Simple Green bath.

I just got 9 of the new Mirkwood elves and 2 of the new Mirkwood cav. And for the price I essentially got the Cav and 1guy for free, which is nice considering neither cav had sword arms. I've never used greenstuff before, but the arms I made look okay, so I'm pleased with the purchase. Now just waiting for Thranduil on Elk to come out.

I do not know if this was the intention of this thread, but I picked up:

Eowyn
Eomer
Aragorn (small head version that goes with the mounted version)
Gandalf the White (incognito version)
Merry Captain w/ shield
Pippin Captain
Hunter Legolas
Gimli
Faramir in Heavy
3 uruk scouts

all metal for 29 bucks, used a ebay gift coupon to drop it to 4 bucks out of pocket. This rounds out a couple of foot-versions that I needed, a few prominent hole-fillings, and supplies me with much loved metal scouts.

OP: Grand job on your haul, that is fantastic!

Just got the windlance model. Happened upon a buy now, newly listed one for half the gw price. Was thinking about just using the windlance part of the model but it came already primed and assembled, guess I can live with that for the price.

Still ambivalent about the model itself - if they needed one to defend against dragons, rocs, other large flying beasts; why did they only build one? Now I just need to decide on what kind of platform to put it on.

Ever since I have been getting WETA's 1:30 Dol Guldur, (viewtopic.php?f=20&t=33058) I have been looking on Ebay for the Necromancer. Been tempted to just buy it off of GW itself, but I enjoy the game of Ebay. My waiting has paid off, just got a Necromancer for 1/3 the price that GW sells it for!

Image

I like the menacing pose, thinking of having it hover more as if floating. Right now it I just have it on a paperclip, have to decide how high I want it and how to paint it.

The Galadriel figure is very delicate, I hesitated just clipping it off the spruce. I just have it tacked together for the picture, trying to figure out if it is easier to paint with it put together or in pieces.

Ended up paying £25 for Angbor the Fearless. On a whim - I don't do retail therapy beyond models and other geek things why not?

No amazing bargains, although in Canada we have a kind of online buy/sell/trade site called kijiji that I've been perusing. Some interesting things here, unfortunately many are in Ontario. :-(

Oh I hit eBay pretty hard for new miniatures over the past two weeks. Finally done but I basically got a ton of miniatures and definitely ended up in a bidding war with someone (likely on here as well I take it). In particular though I was hunting the old Haldir’s elves and unarmoured Lorien elves. I think both those model castings are sick because they’re straight out of the movies. Those new Galadrim elves and wood elf warrior sets just don’t cut it for me. In total I hauled around 60 elves to recreate my horribly painted armies from my childhood

Speaking of Kijiji...

I just scored a lot off there for $50. It included mounted Aragorn and Theoden from the Warg Attack set; 3 Knights of Dol Amroth on foot, Theoden, Aragorn, Gamling, Eowyn, Haldir and Banner Bearer from Heroes of Helm's Deep; 2 metal Rangers of Gondor, Frodo, Sam and Gollum from Captured by Gondor and 3 weapon arms from Rohan Royal Guard on foot. Not a bad haul over all!

I just bought a couple of different things:

A metal Mordor Troll Chieftain. It looks to be in great shape, I paid about $15 Canadian more than I would have for the "Fine"cast one. I'm OK with that considering what problems I've had with some of the man-sized FC models.

A Rohan Royal Guard standard bearer (he just has the long haft sculpted on, I think he was a BGiME exclusive mini?) for about the same price as a new mounted RRG. He doesn't include the horse, but what the hey! It's cool nonetheless and I ought to have a spare or two lying around the house.

I got 24 Moria Goblins for around $38. That's roughly 5 bucks more than I'd pay for a new box of 12 from GW. They arrives today and they're well assembled and primed, all ready to go! That should just about do me for my 216 Goblins I need for my Moria horde. Now to gather up all the elites and Heroes!

What is it about those goblins that make someone to collect so many? My goblin horde of 190 now seems puny :(

I set myself the goal of collecting 5000 points of Moria. I got to about 4200 and had to fill out the rest with Goblin warbands. The Captains will be harder to come by than the troops! :(
