I have a question. I thought I read somewhere, and I could be wrong, that the official rule on proxy use, was allowed if the miniature serving as proxy is obviously different than the others, beyond a different paint scheme. In example, if I take a regular easterling warrior and then modify him (reposition, add green stuff, etc) and call him a warpriest, it is still "tournament" legal. I know among friends that hardly matters. When Chief Hugh and I play pretty much anything goes for a proxy, but let's say for example, I make a warpriest from an existing easterling warrior and haul him with me to some big tourney, is it legal? Will I be told to buy a "real" warpriest?
On a personal level, if someone has gone to the effort to make a darn good conversion to one of their minis (more than a different colored paint job) and they want to play it as another mini of the same size, meaning, they cant modify Sauron and play it as Aragorn, I say, "more power to them."
