I think I have found my first finecast model that isn't horrendously warped or covered in a ridiculous amount of left over resin, or potted with holes!!

Believe it or not folks but the mounted Easterlings Dragon Knight is actually perfect! It didn't need running under hot water, or coving in liquid green stuff to look like a standard plastic model.

Once I can find my camera, then the cable to connect it to my computer and then figure out how to upload it I'll get a picture of it up on here :)

Let's just hope this is the turning of the tides in my finecast misfortunes.

My misfortunes with finecast haven't been reversed I'm afraid. I just opened up the Easterlings command box and found all of the sprues were misshapen with blades, banners and staff's bent. Oh well, back to the hot tap for me :(

If you only have trouble with the weapons, then I wouldn't say that's a FC problem. I've had more trouble with metal weapons being bent out of recognition than with FC.

Thank you for your constructive input.

It's just annoying that almost all of the finecast that I have bought has had deformed weapons or STAVES. All of my metal minis have been fine so far, apart from one Khazâd Guard where the axe has snapped off, but it was an eBay purchase so I'm not too fussed.

Metals had bent weapons as well along with snap offs. Especially bent poles/spears are hard to straighten out unless you have the proper tool when concerning metal. I only had my fingers, so needless to say that my weapons were left looking crooked on some of my metal models. Pitting and bubbles are the major problems when it comes to Finecast. Bent weapons is business as usual when it comes to models, it's the norm except for plastic it's bad and usually means a snap and annoying glueing back in place.
