I was looking at all the GW mini's as I am considering buying a few to start painting and I was just wondering who everyones favorite GW mini is? There might already be a thread for this but I thought i would start one anyway.

Personally my favorite is the armored glorfindel, I think he looks awesome and is one of the reasons I am going to start painting again.

Im curious what everyone here thinks.

good idea for this thread!

anyway, i really like the newer Haildir model(holding sword upwards), the way the Eavy Metal team painted him makes him look amazing!

i can't think of anything else at the moment

My favorite miniature would probably have to be the Pelennor Theoden model. He's one of my favorite character's and it is just an absolutely amazing model. I don't own it yet, but have seen it in person. Can't wait to get ahold of him so he can lead my Rohan army! :)

Here are three of my all time favorite models...
The reason I love these models so much is they look so much like the actors.

The pellanor fields Theoden is probably my favourite as well (or at least, the one which springs to mind first when asked the question). This is probably because the foot version of him (the one posted by BilboOfTheWhiteTower) was the first I ever painted to a reasonable standard, and was my favourite for quite some time. I now own the pellanor fields Theoden, and look foward to painting him as well.

My favourite is radagast. I think the sculpt is very good but like emperor_thompson it was my best work for quite a while, though a a low standard compared to now.

There are so many... but maybe Legolas from the Heroes of Helm's Deep box. The whole set is awesome.

I think that I would choose the guards of the fountain court because I just like the elite-look they got. For a hero I'll take Faramir in his ranger outfit.

I don't like the Guards of the Fountain Court much. They look kind of fat to me...

My favourite GW mini is probably the Admiral Yriel mini they put out a while back. I bought him just to paint, and I will, one day...

In the Lord of the Rings range I'd say my favourite character models are the captain from the Rohan Commanders box and the metal Mordor Troll Cheiftain, while for warriors I like the Axemen of Lossarnach in metal and the Easterlings in plastic.

I really love Erkenbrand on foot. I also like Eorl the Young. And the new Eomer. And pretty much all the other Rohan heroes! :)

My favorites are the armored Elladan and Elrohir models. Definitely the best armored elves GW has released.

Well, it's an old thread but who cares?! (Ducks head as threadnecromancy cards go whizzing past! )

I like the Wild Warg Chieftain, Sauron, Witch-King figures, Theoden from the Defenders of Rohan box, Boromir with the horn and also Erkenbrand.

Bilbo is my favourite just for the sheer quality of the model. But I also like the new Arwen. The Aragorn from the OOP Heroes of Helms Deep set is another favourite.

Will.

I really like Bilbo, FotR Boromir, Breaking of the Fellowship Aragorn, TTT Gollum, Minas Tirith Gandalf and Minas Tirith Witch-King, among others. As far as armies go, I like the way Khand, Minas Tirith, the Last Alliance, and the Shire look.

Too bad I don't own half of what I mentioned above!
