What are the unreleased WOTR models that you are waiting for and how do you imagine them to look like (or would like them to look like)? I'm anticipating werewolves. Don't know why, I don't have an Angmar army but I like werewolves. They're something different in LOTR and I hope they look like something similar to the werewolves in Dragon Age: Origins video game. Too bad that they hadn't include vampires in the WOTR rulebook because they were mentioned in Middle-Earth as well. Wardens of the Keys and of Carrock are a close second and third for me. I liked the Beorn character in "The Hobbit", so I'm curious to see what a formation based off of him would look like. Hurin and his Wardens just sounds like a cool concept, more elite soldiers of Gondor and hopefully their models are more grandios in their armor like the Fountain Court Guard and not simple like the Citadel Guard look who are like WoMT with a cape. Just hope that they don't become over exagerated like the original SKODA were with their huge winged helmets. |

GW making Werewolves worries me somewhat. From the research I have done, which is admittedly not exhaustive, I get the impression that what Tolkien meant by the term was more like "spirit wolves" rather than the shapechangers that the term has come to mean. As for the actual question, I really don't know. Most of the stuff that hasn't been released at all either has good, readily available proxies or is easy enough to convert/paint into existance. I am far more anxious to see some of the existing metals made into plastic kits, like Easterling Kataphrakts, Khandish warriors, Gondorian Fiefdoms, Vault Wardens. If they had done Goblin Blackshields in plastic instead of metal I probably would have bought 9-10 boxes, instead of 2 blisters of the metals. |

^Well that's your opinion on Werewolves, but to me shape shifting werewolves can't be too far off from the world of Tolkien when he has shape shifting werebears. And God I hope everything doesn't turn into plastic because I'm pro metal. Common formations should definetely be made into plastic though. |

The wizards for me, but I don't like that they are called 'windy wanderer' and 'fire-wanderer'. Maybe Alatar and Pallando instead... Werewolves should be interesting too. |

^Yeah for sure they must be referring to the blue wizards in the book. I just don't know much about them to know if those elven names that GW gave them came from Tolkien or made up by themselves. Because in the rule book they state that they can't mention the real names. I wonder if it's because they don't have the rights to those characters yet. |

Sacrilege : I'm almost certain that they made the names by stringing some bits of elvish together, based on gandalf's elven name of 'Mithrandir' (the grey pilgrim/wanderer). Kind of clever, but I still don't think it fits. I guess it gave them the reason to give them special rules that were directly related to their name. |

Werewolves as an infantry unit is dumb as hell. Going by the Silmarilion they ought to be huge - cavalry sized at least. The only way you could make them infantry is to make them some kind of wolfman hybrid, which is completely at odds with the descriptions. Personally i'd love to see a black uruk shaman, but I'd be surprised to get one what with the plethora of mordor shamans we already have - I think it's a model they expect people to convert. |

Something Jeremy and Matt picked up on I'd say since they have type Spirit in WotR. No idea what the models might look like though. |

Why so many vote werewolves? GW already produce untis that could easily be converted to wolves, i can't understand why such a common creature (amoung many genres, games and other merchandise) would be so interesting to have a LOTR version produced? Get original posters!! |

Folowed by Queen Beruthiel, they better fit in a little kitty on the side with her Here's the Queen Beruthiel that you want: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catal ... rod1140297 And for the blue wizards, take two out of the many wizards there are in fantasy games and paint their garbs blue! Now show me where I can find an actual werewolf GW has made, and not a wolf, an actual part man part wolf. I actually tried looking myself now and a long time ago and the closest thing that I've seen is a dire wolf. Besides this is not about converting or substituting models from another game. Not everybody here has conversion skills, and secondly Lotr minis don't have the campy cartoon feeling that WHFB models have. I think the reason why people are voting werewolves for now is because they are not very common in the Tolkien lore and people are curious on what GW could come up with in a non-cartoonish Lotr environment. Legolas31 wrote: GROND GROND GROND GROND! Also would've like to seen this model that they've shown in the Wotr rulebook, but it would probably end up being 2x or 3x the size of the mumakil model. Too big! |

You just contradicted yourself. Thought, admittedly, not a bad sustitute with a few modifications. |

^No I haven't , I just gave you what you wanted though probably that's going to be one very tall Queen because of the scale difference between Lotr & WHFB and that cat will be bigger than a hobbit. Besides when you said werewolves were common and unoriginal in fantasy, can the same thing be said about the blue wizards you are anticipating for Isn't that contradicting yourself? And I showed you the vampire queen just to prove to you that any model can be substituted if you want, not just werewolves. Not that I'm saying that is what one should do, that is what one can do if he/she feels like it, but that is not the point of this topic. The point is what LOTR sculpt people would like to have next! |

Mmm i agree that werewolves are as common wizards in fantasy (the latter even more so), lets just say i feel that werewolves do not excite me ... or vampires (so no i do not have a team Jacob or Edward T-shirt ) |
