Devastating? Hmmmm, not sure I'd quite go that far, they are very good offensively but the D4 is a huge weakness. As soon as you come up against S4 they'll drop like flies and even the weakest of shooting should make a fairly big hole in the line before you clash.
They're good but as memory serves I've never lost a points match game to an army that included Hunter Orcs.
