lake-town house order - delivered!

Just talked to Games Workshop - my pending order will probably not be fulfilled until next month. They were overwhelmed by the avalanche of orders and as they put it - shocked the system. It is a stock issue, they are making them as fast and shipping them as they get them in. So, even though I got my order in before they said out of stock, it will probably be next month until I get it.

Might be a good indicator for the hobby tough... might show the re-investment is justifiable

It is a bit of a poor system that they don't have it linked up to the actual stock level, or at least a set number. I guess they just want to be sneaky and get people to complete the order. Its not unlawful (In Australia) but it has clearly made a number of people upset.

They should have known there would be high demand given the large number of orders for Smaug and the iron hills stuff. The buildings are also eyed off by a number of WHF and 40k players.
A simple message to say limited stock or order delayed would have been better business practise.

I agree Hodush, I shouldn't have to call them to find out why the order is pending - they could have just have easily sent me an email or put a notice attached to my order when I sign in to check status.

Trying to convince my wife that since I ordered in December, it should count towards my "December budget" vs whenever I get it.
