Post subject:  Basic Campaign Rules
Hi all

I'm looking for a set of campaign rules which are pretty basic, allowing for progression and the opportunity to keep score between a few players. Is anything like this freely available? If they also have set scenarios as well this would be a bonus.

Does anyone know of anything like this?

There was exactly what you're looking for in one/two of the "Battle Games in Middle Earth" issues. I can't remember which one but I am sure some one will eventually reply with the exact issue which you could probably find a pdf online of or buy it off ebay for 5 bucks.
Other than the "official" campaign there are dozens of community designed/edited ones and once again I am sure someone will come here with theres. Try searching "Campaign" in "The One Ring" Search function and set it to "Topic Titles" to find the best results.

Ah, yes, campaigns! How lovely is it to play in a cool campaign?!

Rev/Neldoreth has written a beautiful set of rules years ago, available for free here:

Inspired by this, I set out to make my own rules. I've worked on these rules for 5 years with long breaks, and it's still not done. But, I got a lot of ideas, so I can send you some stuff if you're interested. Most of those rules are for more elaborate campaigns though. I have made two campaign maps, and wrote an article on it for Der Skirmisher (http://hdrskirmisher.wordpress.com/2014 ... gust-2014/). Good luck, and please let us know your progress! Campaigns are the most rewarding part of the hobby, I find. Everything comes together, with a nice storyline. :)
