Excellent report. Shows how powerful trolls can be with the Hobbit rules. Those are some brilliantly painted miniatures both of you.

Why can't your club be in the hutt? I would gladly join if I lived closer. A bit too far to travel from Upper Hutt.

Many thanks :-)

Yeah I know what you mean - they need to build a tunnel under the Tararuas! ;-)

There are gamers down in Wello that my be interested in LOTR, as that's where Andrew came up from, if that's any closer for you?

Cheers
Scott

Great report Scott, really enjoyed the theme of the game and liked the way you combined Hobbit and LOTR models to create a Hobbit themed scenario.

Gorgeous models and gorgeous terrain throughout and a really nice balance of pictures and write-up.

The only thing that would have made it better would have been the Thrain the Broken model wandering around in the ruins!

Hope it generates some more SBG love in NZ!

Thanks very much mate :-)

Yes a Thrain would have been a nice touch, I'll have to add him to my wants list!

You guys doing what you do with GBHL over there really has me thinking of trying to get it going like that here... I'll have to see what I can do , one club at a time... ;-)

Keep up the great work!

Very nice battle report, although a bit short.
