I'm thinking of building a Haradrim army based off of the ROTK Journey book to go against my Rohan army. Is there a scenario in that book with those two opponents? If so, what's the general make up? |

There's a couple towards the end recreating the Battle of the Pelennor fields but unfortunately the ROTK Journey Book doesn't follow the same logic as the FOTR and TT ones as all it says it '500 points of Harad' or '1000 points of Harad' rather than giving specific advice on which models to use. It's a shame as the first two books are so good whereas the ROTK one feels very much like an attempt to sell all the new miniatures that were released alongside it. There's also a scenario in the Two Towers book recreating Faramir's attack on the Mumak that might suit your army and will give you a complete breakdown of the models you need. |

Well that stinks. I have the TT Journey book, and I was hoping the ROTK book would be similar. Oh well. Thx for the info. |

Don't get me wrong, the scenarios and terrain articles are still great, it's well worth picking up. It's just the first two books did a nice balancing act of recreating the events of the film whilst adding in a few scenarios from the books to sell models released after 2006 (Dunedain, Feral Uruk Hai, Erkenbrand etc.). For me the ROTK one goes far too far the other way and it's narrative is almost exclusively that of the book in what seems like an overt attempt to force the fiefdoms, woses, newer Harad etc. models down your throat. As I mentioned though, it's easy to rectify the scenarios with existing models and re-map them to match the movies and the book provides a great jumping off point, well worth picking up before it goes OOP. |

Thanks for the input. I just ordered a used copy of the ROTK Journey book and some Haradrim. I already have a huge Rohan and Isengard army. Now I'm adding some flavor to my force. This should be fun. |
