Battle reports thick and fast from the sunny south This time I used my Tale of X Gamers force against Justin's Mordor force. Who would win and would I claim maximum points in month two? http://eastgrinsteadwargamers.blogspot.co.uk/2014/02/hobbit-sbg-mirkwood-elves-v-mordor.html |

Funny typo in the beginning. I assume you brought your forces and not bought them... Stupid elves. I wanted mordor to win. |

I also wanted mordor to win. But that was a pretty weak force against Mirkwood. 'Here take some shots at the most basic foe you cant fight, elves' other troops would have done better |

Hey guys, don't under estimate the power of basic orcs, if you notice a Lot of them had axes and picks, once I got to the elves - I cut through them and hacked them up with little losses, using special strikes and fury has really turned the Orc into a viable fighting force. The bow fire is the mirkwood strength - they tore through me and I had to run across the open field as quickly as possible to minimise their impact. Had this have been a 'to the death' he elves would have lost, hands down, and yes I could have run the 5 knights off, but where's the fun in that "kill elves" is much more fun! Roll on next month |

I have to agree with you on this one Leonardis, I being an elf player always like when elves win but regular orcs now can be a hard force to beat with the heroically channeled might, along with the basic help of axes, it makes the orcs a lot tougher then what they used to be. Of course he also played the Mirkwood force to it's strength which was the 100% bow limit. Also I would like to say I'm glad Leonardis played with the spirit of the game in mind, often times in the few times I get a game in with my brother when we play Reconnoiter, we end up forgetting largely about the objective by the end and only try to sneak a few models off while we try to kill each other in the middle, I do think it's a lot more fun that way, even if it's not the "competitive" way to play it. |

It was a nice report, though I'm another Orc supporter, and I was confused by the presence of 2 Dark Marshals for several turns. |

Lol, I had two drk marshals as I forgot my foot black numenorian model (so we used the dark marshal as a foot model when a morgul horse was killed - oh well, I'll try to remember all the models next time. Ill post my battle report from the same day - which was against Tom later today/tomorrow |
