Post subject:  GBHL Channel - Bedtime Batreps
Hello SBGers and Hobbit Hobbyists, I hope you're all enjoying the video battle reports that we're managing to get up twice a week on the GBHL channel on youtube?

As per thread title, I have an idea for an additional new weekly feature for the channel!

Welcome to Bedtime Batreps, the series in which we aims to communicate your fabulous community battle reports into our channel and immortalise them!

Each week, we will select a member written battle report from one of the forums or blogs and in true storytelling fashion, read out the drama for all our subscribers, over the top of the images you have taken of your battle reports!

Of course, this will be down to you to enter and the best written battle reports, with the most drama, images and beautifully painted models are the most likely to succeed in being chosen for any particular week!

We do not want to presume you wish to be a part of this, but if you do think your battle reports could contribute, simply comment in this thread with the link to your battle report thread or blog and we will credit the report to you and provide a link to the original thread in the video.

Get involved guys, be creative and get strategy battle gaming :D

Sounding pretty awesome. I've had lots of dramatic battles with my elves in the past, but no pictures sadly :sad:

Anyway, I've got a few games over the coming weeks so I'll see what happens and I'll let you know :-D

Very cool idea, looking forward to that. Also, your videos are very quiet, is there any way to make them a bit louder?

Yep, love the idea and happy to contribute. My previous bat rep effort was a bit short on the photo side, but perhaps I can drag Tom around again with his models and re-take some.

Sounds awesome! For me personally a (good) written battle report with pictures still brings something 'extra' in comparison to a video-battle report.

I think I'll be able to make a proper battle-report during the coming Christmas/New years break. Hopefully It will make the channel!

Great to hear you're all keen to see if your batreps will get selected :) be great to have a few submitted for this weekend! The challenge has been set, feel free to submit existing batreps if you think the narrative and pictures are good enough :)

Soooo,
I played two games Sunday night but was so caught up in the action that I totally forgot to take any pics! There we're some epic moments too with legolas killing faramir, boromir, and halberad in one game! Defo worth his points! Sorry I got no pics though, will try harder next time. :o

How goes the community with this project?

You be pleased to hear that our first one should be up soon, it's being uploaded for the content bank as we speak… let us know what you think once it is published and make sure you all start submitting your battle reports to us soon!

Thanks buddy!

Just an additional note for anyone wanting to send us their battle report. Try and take pictures which link well to the text, it will make for a better finished product! And if you can stick to one tense, preferably past, it will suit the storytelling side even more!

Love it! You read it really well, and the music choice was great too. Sorry the pictures weren't a bit better. The snow terrain isn't the best for pictures, and as mentioned earlier, I wasn't planning on writing a battle report, I just felt inspired afterwards.

You'll certainly get another submission from me. Looking forward to seeing other people's entries also!
