Hi guys I managed to get the other half to induldge me and we had a bash at the first scenario in the Escape From Goblin Town set. We're still learning the rules, this being only our second attempt at playing the game so a few mistakes crop up. It's a long vid so maybe one to stick on whilst painting or something... Part 1: http://youtu.be/zVm54Yd2TOI (It's starts with an explaination of the scenario and some rules. To skip to the start of the game go to 4.45) Part 2: http://youtu.be/8K6QQUNUgg0 Part 3: http://youtu.be/YZRgOCMEH-M |

Very entertaining! It’s always nice to see a female presence when it comes to SBG and it’s even better when she’s having a great time on top of it! She seemed to have grasped the basic rules quite quickly and I’d definitely introduce heroic actions (especially for this scenario, I imagine heroic moves would come in handy). The ending was quite the surprise for me as well as I didn't purchase EFGT… just hilarious! Subscribed and looking forward to future videos Two things I’d like to point out: 1) There was a particular situation where your goblin captain was engaged in a fight with generic goblins and for the fight roll you rolled all the dice without differentiation. You should have rolled the captain’s 2 attacks separately (or used colour dice) because of his different fight characteristics/opportunity to expend might points. 2) In regards to re-rolls, the second roll always stands whether it is better or worse than the original roll. At one point, in regards to Oin’s prognostication rule, I believe you expressed the wrongful notion that even if the re-roll had failed, she’d only have to expend 1 might to bump her original roll. In case I’m not very clear with this explanation I’ll provide an example below: Result needed to wound = 6 First roll = 5 Re-Roll= 4 2 might points are needed to wound because the first roll of 5 is rendered obsolete. |

Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching Good point about rolling seperately, I'll make sure to do that next time. Re the reroll: So if one of the dwarves had rolled let's say a 5 and a 2 for the duel and the goblin rolled a 6. Oin allows a dice to be rerolled, so we reroll the 2 and get a 3. Can we not bump up the 5 we didn't reroll with a might point? |

Nice and clear report! I recently did this scenario too but man, it was boring as hell. My dwarfs spent the whole game on the 'bridge' and couldn't get through the goblins. The whole game was just combat and moving 1" back and forward. |

In your above example you did not re-roll the 5 so it is still elligible for modification with might, only the 2 is not because you elected to discard the roll to try again. Example of 1 die re-roll/might You need a 6 to wound and roll a 4 on a single die. You elect to re-roll the 4 and instead roll a 3. The 4 is gone and for purposes of dice modification never existed. |

Yep, a fun watch. Look forward to more! My GF is a big fan of the Amon Sul (weathertop) scenario. Might want to give that a go . |

@JamesR: That makes sense, thanks. @mertaal: Would love to try Amon Sul, and loads of other great moments from the Fellowship Of the Ring. Probably going to be concentrating on the Hobbit for near future though. |

Hi mate Nice vid well done! and even more WELL dONE for getting your mrs to play mine would not even entertain the idea! lol Just a quick note... at around 12.10 you kept gaps between your gobs just in case they were knocked back so they wouldnt be "trapped" the rulebook states that you can only be trapped by enemy players or terain etc as your own allies would tend to move out of the way for the mini which is knocked back so you could of actually kept them tightly packed. Just a heads up matey Posted this on youtube too EDIT AHHHH 19.10 you knew bout "make way" lol |

@ste271276: Thanks! I probably was being over careful but I'm pretty sure it says only one model can 'make way' for another so I was just trying to avoid that. |
