First of all, sorry if this is in the wrong section. I know there are some mistakes in the book e.g. Azog/Yazneg mixup, Narzug being in despite not featuring in the first film, slight mix up with the trolls profiles/background. Despite this I want to know if the scenarios are actually balanced and fun to play or would I be better off altering them/making my own? Basically the end goal is to play through the whole of the first film and make a little campaign out of it. Let me know what you think |

I've just played a couple: they're fairly balanced but kinda straight forward. I'm thinking of adding some rules and other scenario's for my own campaign |

Some of them are reasonably balanced. Others are not so much so but they are all fun so far. Ideally you would play them twice; swapping sides with each player getting a chance of playing both perspectives. I think you need to play them in a good spirit as I am not sure they are ruthlessly play tested. They are not so much points matched but the evil side often gets lots of re-enforcements or other advantages. I have just painted up Azog and some Eagles ready for the next scenario (having just done Out of the Frying Pan last): Into the Fire (iirc) and am really looking forward to playing that one. These scenarios are part of the big Hobbit rulebook? It sounds interesting. |
