Post subject:  "Dark Fellowships" and "Fantasy Fellowships".
I have whilst reading another thread, had an idea! Eureka, I think that it might be fun to have Evil Fellowships, or "Dark Fellowships" as I have imagined them.

First of, it would be good to play the nine Nazgul trying to get the ring of the Fellowship. There could also be a scenario whereby they are to punish Saruman and even go up against Elrond, Gandalf and Glorfindel. Light relief could come in the form of choosing pursuing Baggins of the shire, with Fatty Bolger used with a special rule as a decoy, and naturally Farmer Maggot.

Also, a "Dark Fellowship" could be lead by Gothmog and have an array of evil heroes from across Sauron's lands.

I hope that this idea proves to be a source of fun, and some truly inspired games. It would be great to hear any more ideas building on this?

Here is just an idea:

Gandalf - Saruman
Aragorn - Witch-King
Boromir - Gothmog
Legolas - Lurtz
Gimli - Goblin hero?
Frodo - Gollum
Sam - Grima?
Merry - Shagrat
Pippin - Gorbag

Hmm, interesting idea.

I might do something like:

Gandalf - Nazgul, either generic with maxed M/W/F or one of the named ones, probably the Dark Marshal or the Shadow Lord
Aragorn - Shagrat (big nasty version)
Boromir - Amdur or Thrydan
Legoals - Vrasku, Hasharin, or invent a character, some sort of archer from Harad or Khand
Gimli - Ugluk
Frodo - Grishnak or Gorbag
Sam - Orc Taskmaster*
Merry - Sharku
Pippin - Goblin Captain*

* Obviously for these two, I would want to come up with a suitably individualized model and character, but use a generic captain's profile.

Surely it does not have to be nine every time? Why not ten or five or thirteen? Widen the scope, think outside that box that everyone is supposed to think outside (but no-one seems to know where it is located :) )
