We tried two scenarios from the rulebook. They seem very hard for the Dwarves because of the limitless re-inforcements and the time limit (in the first). Still fun to play and lots of mayhem and Heroes being thrown from rickety walkways.

Was a fun read. I noticed that you used a lot of terrain that is not included in the box. I was wondering how do the scenarios in the book make use of the existing terrain?

You can do all of the scenarios from the Box Set with the terrain included.

I also purchased a Goblin Town kit. Even with that I had no way near enough terrain for all the ramparts pictured in the scenarios in the main rulebook. For that you can use other pieces from your collection to try and make something similar. I think I still did not have enough for example to make jumps from different platform pathways possible.

Playing the campaigns with my sister, I too noticed that it can be very difficult to actually win the scenarios as the dwarves. You can basically hold up on a bridge for a fairly long time if you keep getting lucky with the 4+ to return into combat.

Don't even get me started on the scenario with the goblin scribe where I spawned 19 goblins in 3 turns and the dwarves were outnumbered and surrounded... :P

Are they supposed to be difficult for the dwarves? Maybe for campaign purposes? Or is it just unbalanced?
