Secret Objective Cards

Ranked in order of difficulty to achieve. I guess there could be more of the easier ones and fewer of the most difficult in the card pile.

Lay Siege - Engage an enemy Strategic Point and remain there until the end of the following Campaign Turn.

Feint Attack - Split an Army into two groups and using one force Engage an Enemy Army. You must use the remaining force to Engage a separate Enemy Army/Strategic Point. If Attacked you may not retreat and must Resolve Battles.

Flanking Manoeuvre - Have 2 or more Armies converge on an enemy army, Engage and Attack.

Scorched Earth - Attack and defeat an enemy force located at a Strategic Point. Rather than risk losing the captured land in future engagements, have the land burnt and buildings destroyed. Remove the Strategic Point.

Suprise Gambit - Engage and Attack an enemy Strategic Point that holds a larger force within than your attacking strength.

Annihilation - Defeat and utterly destroy an enemy Army on the battlefield (reduce to below 100 points).

War of Attrition - Engage 3 or more enemy Strategic Points in the same turn. If Attacked you may not retreat and must Resolve Battles.

Command the River - Have multiple armies located on at least 6 River Tiles at the end of any Campaign Turn.

Bait and Bleed - In order to lure the enemy, have 6 or more armies positioned at least 1 space away from friendly Strategic Points at the end of any Campaign Turn.

Divide and Conquer - Engage and Attack multiple enemy Armies/Strategic Points in the same turn, achieving victory in at least 2 separate battles.

Decapitation - Engage and Attack the largest enemy Army. Only through defeating the greatest host can you truly hope to change the course of the war.

That's about all I can think of so far. Would be nice to hear other ideas and feedback, cheers guys

Special Rules Update complete and ready for download :-D

http://www.mediafire.com/file/xz7adphx6 ... Update.pdf

2 pages to add to the original document with card cut-outs. Took me a while to complete, arranging text boxes and images in Microsoft Word is not as easy as it looks lol!

Haven't had a chance to playtest it yet but have given some thought to time and resources it will take to complete, hopefully it adds a little more excitement to the system. It should definitely encourage players to stop camping though, thankyou again Thermo for the idea.

If anyone has tried playing the campaign system I'd love to hear how you got on :)

Small update
Have played a few turns with the new rules and the cards certainly make it worthwhile leaving the safety of the Strategic Points.

I've been on the lookout for small miniatures to represent the armies moving around the map. Having seen the size of 10mm I wanted something smaller. 6mm are about as small as it gets and i've discoved a company called Baccus that sell all sorts, through the different ages of our history (Medieval, War of the Roses etc) and also a Fantasy range (Elves, Dwarves and Goblins) :)

These packs have LOADS of miniatures in so I think if you want to go down this route for representing armies you'll only need one pack.

For Gondorian Infantry (EMN4) the Norman armoured infantry which includes 4 command strips per pack and 20 line strips per pack (4 men per strip) for a total of 96 Figures.

For Gondorian Cavalry (EMN2) the Norman Armoured Cavalry, stood which includes 5 command strips per pack and 10 line strips per pack (3 cavalry per strip) for a total of 45 Figures.

For Fantasy figures (Elves, Dwarves and Goblins) which I plan to use for Mordor then check these out

There are Ancients which could represent Harad, Khand and Easterlings also.
