I have been putting together some scenarios for a cool mini campaign of shelobs lair. So without further ado, here they are:

Scenario 1:
Participants: frodo, shelob.
Layout: 12"by 12" board with rocky outcrops.
Starting positions: frodo starts in the middle of the board, shelob is not deployed at the start if the game, but comes on at a later turn
Special rules: rocky ground: the whole area counts as difficult terrain. Shelob: shelob is deployed on a single board edge at the start of the evil players turn. To big to get through: some tunnels in shelobs lair are very narrow, treat some pre-determined areas as impassible terrain for shelob only.

Scenario 2:
Participants: Sam, goloum.
Layout: 12"by12" board with rocky out croppings.
Starting positions: Sam start on one side of the board and goloum on the side directly across from him.
Special rules: stinker: Sam is venting his fury on goloum. When Sam attackes goloum, he can an extra dice to his attack.
Rocky ground: same as above.

Stay tuned for my next scenario, coming soon!

I the original "Return of the King" rules book, they have a nice Shelob's lair scenario too.

Very cool idea to do a mini-campaign of the events in the Pass of Cirith Ungol. I look forward to seeing how you plot out the whole thing.

Thanks guys the other scenarios are still in the works but I have added a special rule: it's sticky!: the pass of Cirith ungol is littered with spider webs, place any number of game markers any ware on the board, If any model touches token,(aside from shelob) they suffer the immobilized magic power.until the next turn

they are interesting, but I cannot see a honest chance for the good side to win.
scenario 1. Shelob has no problem in rocky terrains, which means that she will catch Frodo very early in the game, since Frodo is already slow under optimal condition. Even with might to boost his fight value and wound results, that will only slower his defeat.

scenario 2. Gollum can wound Sam with 4+. Adding a D3 to results translates in having Gollum scoring wounds with 1 and 2, which is way too much. Gollum may not even have the need to roll!
While Sam, even with 2 strikes, still needs 5.

Whoops, forgot about that, I am going to take away the goloum rule and fix the scenarios. scenario 3 will be coming soon!

scenario 3:

participants: shelob, sam, frodo (as objective only unless playing as a campaign, the he is alive if he survived scenario 1.

layout: 18 inch by 18 inch board with rocky outcropps.
starting positions: deploy shelob and frodo touching one board edge, sam is deployed on the other.
objective: sam is trying to drive shelob away from frodo, if sam drives shelob off one board edge or kills shelob good wins. if shelob can be in contact with frodo for more then 4 turns without being in combat, frodo dies. if shelob kills sam and frodo, evil wins
special rules: to big to get through, rocky ground, vengefull fury:
sam is in a reckless fury after seeing frodos body in the clutches of shelob, sam uses the following profile: F S D A W C M W F and is armed with sting.
6/3+ 3 4 2 2 6 2 2 3
