Brilliant match , enjoyed it , was that hill so hard to climb to get to your archers? i kept seeing Louis sitting there at the bottom waiting to get picked off not moving with 6 inch move , "cocked dice" he he that was clearly a 2 James . Overall interesting to see the grey company / arnor , might consider trying it out but that hill won the game hands down... 0 losses. I think a better tactic against that archer army would have been perhaps shadowlord , + morgul knights + dark marshal , that what i would of done. Cavalry > Ranger's most of the time.

Reason being is Shadowlord for the dice roll of 6 to hit for his special rule and dark marshall banner reroll once in combat.

Troll chieftains only have 2 might. Louis used 1 to strike and then 2 to win = 3. So you should have won that fight not that it made much difference.

Hmm do you have to nominate a heroic strike before you do the duel roll? I have always done it after both of us got 6s.

Yes, it is a heroic action and must be done at the start of the fight phase before any fights have taken place.
