I use simple green and i've stripped all kinds of minis at all stages of the painting process. Yes, you can strip them after spraying on a sealant |

Definitely can be stripped. If for some reason the varnish is on very heavy and making hard for the stripping agent to penetrate, give the figures a couple of passes with a wire brush. It should abrade the varnish just enough to let the stripping agent through. My main chemical for stripping is "Purple Power", though I don't know how available it is over there. I used to use Simple green, but purple has the "2botoxethanol" ingredient that Simple dropped from the formula a year or so ago and works much faster and more thoroughly. It is also cheaper. However, it is harsher and not as not-toxic as SG, so gloves (I recommend Solvex) are required. |
