After coming back to the hobby after a long hiatus, I went through my paint collection (all the classic pots and names, love it) and most of them have dried out a bit. Still liquid, but much thicker.

Would it be possible to 'liquidize' them with a couple of drops of water and some stirring? Or are they ruined and do I need to get used to a new range of colours? :?

If they are just thicker you can ofc thin them with a few drops of water, I do that always. No big deal :)

Honestly, pure water isn't the ideal addition - I'd get yourself some acrylic medium or flow improver and throw a few drops of that as well. Then again, I add flow improver to all my paints as soon as I buy them, so it may just be that I have a problem with the stuff.

Reviving ol paints is not the problem for me, getting those really old screw-on lids off sucks! :P

LOL Bartelomeus.

It's a wonder we have any teeth left opening those things.
