For regular use, I just use clean, cool water. If I feel the need to go further than that, I will use a couple of different things.

Edit: cool, clean water in a cup - don't jam the brush in the bottom of the cup, gently swish it around freely in the water.

First, ordinary liquid hand soap - put a little in your palm, add a touch of water and then gently rub the brush in the soap against your palm. Rinse and repeat as necessary.

Second, I have a bar of brush soap that came with my masters brush set from GW. Basically the same procedure, except I wet the brush, gently pick up some soap from the bar then rub the brush on my palm to work the lather/clean it.

If neither of those work, there are brush cleaner solvents/solutions out there that can be used. I used them once and they did get a bit more paint out of the bristles, but these were brushes that were not cared for very well (they were not my brushes - they were public use/demo brushes).
