So I never saw these before, Apparently I missed them when GW released the new paint range.

My local hobby shop doesn't have them anymore and the above picture is one of about three I've managed to find pictures of on Google.

Tabletop_heroes used to have all the lotr cards on his website but sadly its down now and he stopped returning PMs. (I hope everything is alright with him)

So does anyone have scans of these things or know where I could get some?

---Update---

I was able to get the lotr cards that Tabletop_heroes had on his website but I'm still looking for any information or scans of the Warhammer 40k, or Warhammer Fantasy cards.

I know it's not the same thing but most of the colour recipes for different things can be found here:

http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catal ... ints-tools

It's ever so slightly more in-depth than these cards too, but equally as unhelpful in terms of painting technique and style.

Yeah I've already seen those and boy Its frustrating, the color for the cadian they show on the website is different from the one on the card.

There are so many different painting guides for the Easterlings alone I'm going crazy trying to pick which one to actually use. :shock: I've found about 8 or 9 already and I'm pretty sure there is at least one more in a WD I don't have, and to make thing more annoying several of the guides tell you to use colors that are obviously not the ones they used to paint the model in the picture they're showing you. :-X

Angry little rant aside.

I just assumed you would apply the paints in the order they're shown on the back of the cards using basic layering and highlighting techniques.

I used the paint guide in my Harad sourcebook to paint my Mahud. As well I have seen many Easterling paint guides. In the end I'll pick a gold,red, and work the rest out on my own.

I painted a single Easterling a couple of years ago after buying a warband which I quickly sold after not enjoying the painting or prospect of their army. Here's what I used, bear in mind that the miniature was primed with Administratum Grey (the ratios are a rough estimate as I don't measure precisely) =

Red
Basecoat = Khorne Red
Wash = Nuln Oil + Dryad Bark (1:1)
Layer = Khorne Red
Highlights = Khorne Red + Skrag Brown (2:1)
Edge highlights = Khorne Red + Squig Orange (1:1)

Black
Basecoat = Abaddon Black + Eshin Grey (1:1)
Wash = Nuln Oil
Highlights = Eshin Grey
Edge highlights = Eshin Grey + Administratum Grey (2:1)

Gold
Basecoat = Sycorax Bronze
Wash = Nuln Oil + Doombull Brown (1:1)
Layer = Sycorax Bronze + Auric Armour Gold (1:1)
Highlights = Auric Armour Gold
Edge highlights = Auric Armour Gold + Runefang Steel (1:2)

Silver
Basecoat = Runefang Steel + Eshin Grey (2:1)
Wash = Nuln Oil
Edge highlights = Runefang Steel

Wood and Pale Leather
Basecoat = Dryad Bark
Wash = Nuln Oil + Doombull Brown (3:1)
Layer = Dryad Bark
Highlights = Gorthor Brown

Rich Leather
Basecoat = Doombull Brown
Wash = Nuln Oil
Layer = Doombull Brown
Highlights = Doombull Brown + Skrag Brown (1:1)

I'm dubious that they advertise certain paints because they aren't selling well during a release period. Obviously GW would be at a loss if they made paints that ran past their sell-by dates and were thus unsellable. I would argue the paints have a 2-3 year shelf life judging by the fact that mine normally solidify or become chalky and dry after such time. I once had a long discussion with my local GW manager who was defiant that the paint I needed to replace my emptied Doombull Brown was Mournfang Brown, when clearly, if I wanted a replacement for Doombull Brown, what I actually needed was Doombull Brown.

Well as this is my first army painting project I don't really feel prepared to make up my own paint scheme. Besides, the GW paint schemes look fantastic and movie accurate and I want my army to look as close to them as possible

Yeah, that's great and all but like I said, I already have a bunch of guides to choose from so adding another one to the pile doesn't really make anything easier for me. Also I have no idea what your Easterling ended up looking like.

I appreciate your guys advice but all of this is off topic in the first place.

I dont need any help with my Easterling army right now, I'm just tryting to find these cards and sadly it doesn't look like anyone here can help me...

I think I have these, either PDF or as an image...
Apparently it seems I deleted them when I changed hard drives :-/

Anyone else got them?
