This is just too good, I can't think of anything to say that conveys just how good it is. Perhaps I can paraphrase Gandalf, when they see the Balrog in Moria: "This work (foe) is beyond any of you. Brushes (swords) are no use to you now..." Too cheesy? Sorry. It's a fantastic piece Rutta, absolutely brilliant! Well done! |

I enjoyed this article thoroughly. Great step-by-step painting guide. Everything is very well explained and the quality of the pictures is also high. And the final result of two parts of the Bridge at Khazad Dum is just wonderful to behold All in all, fantastic article written by a painter of exceptional skills. Congratulations , Rutta (maybe you should consider making a Mumak painting guide ) |

A fitting end to the Bridge of Khazad Dum series Brian. I'd say it was well worth the wait, but heck, it came so quickly we didn't have to wait at all. The skill with which this figure is presented is, without doubt, the highest that one can attain. Your talent is astounding and keeps growing with every new project. The GW 'Eavy Metal team could not do a better job. The article itself is also written to the highest standards and will give anyone who attempts this wonderful figure a flying start. The photography is clear and sharp and shows exactly the right amount of detail. Superb work mate, thank you for adding it to our library. |

Like Dagorlad said, your talent just never stops to amaze, Rutta! You always put 100% effort into every mini you paint and that's what I admire most about you. Every miniature you paint is painted, converted and based to the highest level. Thanks for sharing your skills with us, you're always a great inspiration. |

I am currently re working on my almost complete balrog perhaps the closest to most complete out of the 6 minis ever painted by myself. Anyway Brian Balrog is perfect. My question is where did you get your wings after spending the last 3 hours on Google I need your help or the help of others. I am dull with these wings and want some flavor. |

Ah, it is most satisfying to see fire painted correctly going from white to red. I get annoyed thumbing through my collectors guide which has the Balrogs fire backwards. And I should know. I see plenty of it in my day job! An excellent guide and well written article. |

WOW!!! that is one of the best, if not the best, balrog i have ever seen painted! the fire effect looks absolutely spot-on, unlike GW's 'backwards' fire. it completes the khazad-dum diorama perfectly, i would be proud to display that to anybody! a job well done there! theye |
