what i enjoyed most about this article is all the background story. it's like the behind-the-scenes on the dvd's.

as i would have expected from you it is a great article leaving no questions open about the troll painting.

thank you!

Very nice uise of colours! I really like the variation on the metal parts! You must have done a great study on these parts when painting it!
Superb close-ups! One of the best ones I've seen so far!
Some of them, like the face, scared me!

Great job Beate!

;)

A very insightful article, definitely shows how much time you spent on carefully planning everything before painting. The final result is extremely realistic and looks VERY impressive!

Congrats and thanks for submitting this excellent article!

A truly fantastic troll, and an entertaining, informative and lively article. Who else would think of mentioning the textile industry in Mordor? The photos are first class - Beate, you show us fine details in very close-up pictures. I know my painting would fail under that intense scrutiny.

10/10. Very well done.

Aaaargh! Those face close-ups are scary!

Another great article Beate. The troll looks fantastic (your best mini in my opinion) and the tips are welcome.

Great stuff! ;)

Please, pretty please, do some more articles on your work - I can now see that I really do have to give my Cave Troll a bath in stripper

Well done Beate

A wonderful article, Beatrice, for a wonderful work of art!

I love your take on the hobby, your thoughts on highlights (rather, not being a "freak" for them), and the way you create such incredibly realistic colours by not being afraid to experiment and keep at it until you have what you're after. The results speak for themselves. This troll is just perfect! That armour. Oh, that armour. It looks like it was just recently unearthed and dusted off for a museum exhibit, it is so darn real!

Keep at it Beatrice, it will take many, many more of these articles to upset me. (That will never happen, of course, it's just an expression.) :)

I like this article.
It's good painted, and it has a good index.

Only the eyes and the base could be better...

Don't mean to boast , but the rocks here really are excellent.

A very good article , and a nice read with funny comments thrown in. the Skin tone really is much better (I'll won't say realistic:lol:) then the Pinkish tone GW gave the Trolls. and the Face is terrifyingly good !
