I think the Changes make Sense - except for one: I never played the Vanquishers or against them. But in all Videos, Blogs, etc who reviewed them - everyone Said that Gandalf as he is in this LL, is basically useless because His boni are the weakest and dont add anything the other characters need - its the Courage bonus and Well everyone already has very high Courage... So i understood this point and i agree. The result is of course that no one Plays Gandalf in this LL except maybe If You have enough points left. Its good GW adressed this. But i think the solution is hilarious xD Instead of improving Gandalf, they now force everyone to take hin as mandatory If they wanna Play the LL xD Thats quite a slap ;p |

It does seem to be a strange justification for a game that long, long ago gave up any pretext of being LotR in anything other than branding. There are far more obvious breaches of canon to address if GW wanted to return the game to some form of legitimate Tolkien basis, they have done nothing to address those so why this one? |

I think they wanted to make it harder to take Radagast to lower the power level of this legion. Radagast could heal the other members of the list, which made it much more resilient. By forcing you to take Gandalf it makes the list a bit easier to beat, which makes the competitive game fairer -- so it's not really about the story. |

I was rather disappointed in that they didn't do an errata/faq for Battle in Balin's Tomb. But then again, I didn't ask them any questions either. |
