I am a bit underwhelmed by these two model-wise. I'm not sure if it's just me, but I think the general looks stocky, even dwarf like, dare I say. I like the simpler design for the helm when compared to GW's efforts to make the new models distinct by changing up the helm. The caster suffers from that over-designed helm problem. A very JRPG looking fella that seems kind of off for middle earth; not unlike those pesky acolytes. Rule-wise I like them though. I'm glad to see tremor getting used as the offensive spell for the caster. Haven't see anyone use that in years since the only other model with it also has shatter. Also nice to see that he is near wizard levels will, but not quite. It shows a nice grade of power between the casters. I will be interested to see what his casting values are. It does kind of vex me that the general, who is supposed to be more the strategist than Amdur, has the same number of attacks and same fight value. I hope she comes with heroic march rather than heroic strike to help differentiate the roles. Still hoping the Easterling's dragon theme will build up to them having a cold drake as a hero! |

Each round of new releases from GW goes further and further away from the world created by Tolkien. They are just releasing generic fantasy now and sticking a "Middle Earth" badge on it, worse these are not even very good minis. An easy pass. |

While I'm happy that the Easterlings are getting all these new models, like robh, it's a pass for me also. Do not have an Easterling army, nor plan to start one. Is it just me, or does Rutabi have a very long right foot? Left foot might be out of proportion also, hard to tell. |

While I agree that we are drifting a bit away from JRRT I believe the priest is needed to help differentiate the Easterlings from Minas Tirith. Otherwise they are just the evil MT. I do not see the need for the other hero. I am looking forward to war in the north, especially the scenarios. |

https://www.warhammer-community.com/202 ... or-emerge/ The heroes are available! =) I like them both but there is something about Rutabis look that disturbs me. She looks... stocky? Like the upper body is too small and/or the head etc too big I would even say she looks like an Easterling-Dwaf |

I'm surprised to see how un-fighty GW made the Conquer. I guess it makes sense given that he has has extra will. All his time went into being a better caster so he never went to the gym or to sparing practice. Even so, I'd have thought he would be a little better at fighting as part of an ostensible martial order. |
