I just saw a post on the facebook page of my local GW. GW are creating a "Specialist Product Design Studio". It will include Forge World and will bring back a lot of the old boxed games such as Blood Bowl, Necromunda, Battle Fleet Gothic etc. It will also, and this is the big one, maintain the LOTR and the Hobbit and produce new products to support it. So it's not going away and will live on! |

The funny thing is that this corroborates that stupid article from BoLS that got so much stuff wrong. If LotR is moving to a studio with a different name, GW would technically be sorta discontinuing the line. |

Funny this popped up on Bolter and Chainsword forums as well, the general consensus is that it should be taken with a huge pile of salt, however many GW's are posting it on their FB pages...so, as one member over there said, "If this is fake, then its the best troll by GW in a long time!" |

Although I would like it to be true, just can't believe it |

I'll believe it when it occurs. I hope it's true though. That would be great. |

Hope it happens but will remain sceptical until it's up on their website/White Dwarf etc. |

This kind of news is almost too good to be true! I'm certainly happy, if this truly means new products in the future. There is a picture floating around, and it has been confirmed as real by more than one GW facebook page. So it appears to be pretty legit. |

I've seen it reposted on fb from Oz/US stores but nothing in the UK. No word at all. All I've seen is someone who knows someone who knows something says something is happening but it isn't quite this. We're still in the dark. We can now hear things moving around us, however. JDE |

Get HYPE people! If all the gw managers from several major countries believe it and have been emailed the changes from head office (I've read the email and posters) then why would it be a lie? Another promising fact is that the Perry brothers sculpted an entire line of 3rd movie models that have yet to be released! This is according to reputable personasking them a series of question at an event last week. And aas previously suspected all of the 3rd move releases were all previously sculpted to be released in the 2nd film. There is easily another wave of releases in the wing. Perhaps this new subsidiary GW company "Specialist Games" will bring out for us. |

A couple of the UK GWs have hinted at something big happening this weekend on top of the release of the Heresy game. This would certainly fit that description. Nothing more concrete than that from the UK (although I only checked a few store's Facebook pages). |

I'm not going to lie, it is hard not to get excited. This is the most promising extension to the life of the lotr range since the hobbit relabeling. |

GW Peterborough have apparently now said that in the next six months a team will be put together to possibly revive some SG within the FW remit. No news on which or when - and no mention of LOTR. |

Lady Atia says it's real and she's been behind every big GW leak since AoS, and has been right about all of them. |

She runs a twitter account by that name and she's been leaking a LOT of stuff a week or two early with it. And she's always been right. |

So she works for GW? What makes her correct? |

I don't know, she's just always been right. She has to have some serious connections though. She seems to get the White Dwarfs at least a full week ahead of schedule. |

http://natfka.blogspot.com/2015/11/all- ... w.html?m=1 Mix of resin and plastic kits for all releases, so LotR might not get any plastics, but at least no more finecast, it'll be Forgeworld resin. And the license has been renewed, supposedly for another 5 years! |

Specialist games have been CONFIRMED on the warhammer app but there's no mention on lotr/hobbit |

Post subject: | Re: GW to contine support for LOTR. |
That's because LotR isn't a standalone boxed game, like Calth or any of the other things they refer to in that announcement. |
