The GW's in Australia used to do little things that made boards interesting, and occasionally even stuff like this.

Then apparently head office said they couldn't use anything that people couldn't buy in store. And as they don't sell any type of foam suddenly the tables looked a lot more boring.

In conclusion, I'm moving to Middlesbrough for all future GW visits.

Very cool.
I pondered doing something similar for my own Goblin Town board, but the fixed nature of the board would make storage a nightmare!

Oh my Flying Spagetti Monster, taht is seriously awesome. Second only to that massive Minas Tirith in GW Paris. There is a Helms Deep of simialr scale to that Goblin Town in my local GW, but the Goblin Town set is only the small version. Anyway, that looks awesome, and must have been the most arduous task ever.

:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

Wow, wow, wow! The only thing I've ever seen in a GW store that was anywhere near that impressive was the Black Gate Of Mordor board, I think in Northampton?

Wow! That's amazing!

Some store's are more keen to use nothing but GW than others. My local GW has papier-mache waves crashing onto a beach on their WHFB board.

Nice board. That is defo expanding foam...the manager at crawley said he wasnt allowed to use anything that GW didnt sell and his area managers were strict on it. Anyway, here is his attempt.

That is an epic board... I've been acquiring vast quantities of Goblin Town Scenery kits to make a themed board myself. I'd love to do something like that... just not sure how to make it "portable",

Yep, awesome board. And SD, he actually did a very good job for not being able to use foam... :o
